فَخَفِّف وَخَف أَن تُمِلَّ العَليلا
If you visit a wealthy man who is ill,
When you visit the sick too often
Then keep your visit brief, and beware of wearying the sick man.
Go easy, lest you become a bore to the invalid.

And if he is in need, with scant means,
And if he's poor and in need
Then give him aid, even if it is only a small gift.
Help him out, even if it's only a little gain.
