الدَهرُTime إِنif يَنصُركَhelps you يَنصُرhelps بَعدهاafter that
الدَهرُ إِن يَنصُركَ يَنصُر بَعدها
ذاone bearing إِحنَةٍa grudge فَيَحورُso it turns back كُلَّevery مَحارِturn
ذا إِحنَةٍ فَيَحورُ كُلَّ مَحارِ
If Time helps you, afterward it will help
One who bears a grudge; so it turns every way.
وَهَواجِرُand scorching noons الأَيّامِof the days يَسلُبُstrips away حَرُّهاtheir heat
وَهَواجِرُ الأَيّامِ يَسلُبُ حَرُّها
ماwhat أَودَعَتهُdeposited it ذَواهِبُthe passing ones الأَسحارِof the pre-dawn hours
ما أَودَعَتهُ ذَواهِبُ الأَسحارِ
And the heat of the days’ scorching noons strips away
What the passing pre-dawn hours have deposited.
