بِذاكَin doing that وَدينُand the religion of العالَمينَhumankind رِياءُpretense
بِذاكَ وَدينُ العالَمينَ رِياءُ
I dissemble before you; may God forgive my lapse
May God forgive me my lapse,
In doing so—and the religion of humankind is pretense.

وَقَدand perhaps يُخلِفُdisappoints الإِنسانُa person ظَنَّthe expectation of عَشيرِهِhis companion
وَقَد يُخلِفُ الإِنسانُ ظَنَّ عَشيرِهِ
وَإِنand even if راقَwas pleasing مِنهُof him مَنظَرٌappearance وَرُواءُand good looks
وَإِن راقَ مِنهُ مَنظَرٌ وَرُواءُ
And a person may disappoint his companion's expectations,
And a man may fail his kinsmen's hopes of him
Even if his appearance and good looks are pleasing.
though he be pleasing of face and eloquent.

بِنُصحٍ فَإِنّا مِنهُمُ بُرَآءُ
If our people do not worship God alone
When a people worship not God alone
With sincerity, then we disavow them.
with good counsel, we are quit of them.
