Have people's minds grown frivolous, or were those who came before
Have people's reason diminished or were those gone foolish with little reason?
Among the people fools, light of mind?
So do not grieve for the lamb if her son approaches

So let the ewe not grieve if her son is brought near
The blade of a harsh man with evil intent
To the blade of a tyrant, grievously unjust to men.
If the innocent one approached them in the morning
فَلَوfor if حَمَلُthe Ram (Aries) الخَضراءِthe sky (literally, the green one) أَصبَحَcame to be بَينَهُمamong them
لَآضَit would become ذَبيحاًslaughtered أَوor نَجاescaped بِكُلومِwith wounds
For if the Ram of heaven came to be among them,
He would be a slaughtered sacrifice or saved with ransom
It would end up slaughtered, or escape with wounds.
When you can escape people like them only through death
أُناسٌpeople مَتىwhenever تَهرُبyou flee إِلىto القَبرِthe grave مِنهُمُfrom them

People—whenever you flee from them to the grave,
Then by Allah's knowledge, you cannot be blamed
Then, as God knows, you are not to blame.
