قَدmay يَرفَعُraise اللَهَGod الوَضيعَthe lowly بِنُكتَةٍthrough a small cause
قَد يَرفَعُ اللَهَ الوَضيعَ بِنُكتَةٍ
كَالنَقعِlike dust زارَvisited مَعاطِساًnostrils بِمَلاطِسِby means of hammers
كَالنَقعِ زارَ مَعاطِساً بِمَلاطِسِ
God may raise the lowly through some small cause,
Like dust that, stirred by hammers, visited nostrils.
فَاِذهَبso go لِشَأنِكَabout your business فيin الأُمورِaffairs وَلاand do not تَبِتspend the night
فَاِذهَب لِشَأنِكَ في الأُمورِ وَلا تَبِت
كَالنَكسِlike a weakling يَجنَحُturns aside مِنfrom حِذارِfear of العاطِسِthe sneezer
كَالنَكسِ يَجنَحُ مِن حِذارِ العاطِسِ
So carry on with your affairs, and do not spend the night
Like a weakling who turns aside for fear of a sneezer.
