اللَهُGod صَوَّرَنيformed me وَلَستُand I am not بِعالِمٍknowing
اللَهُ صَوَّرَني وَلَستُ بِعالِمٍ
لِمَwhy ذاكَthat سُبحانَglory be to القَديرِthe Almighty الواحِدِthe One
لِمَ ذاكَ سُبحانَ القَديرِ الواحِدِ
God formed me, and I do not know
why that is. Glory be to the Almighty, the One.
فَلتَشهَدِso let ... bear witness الساعاتُthe hours وَالأَنفاسُand the breaths ليfor me
فَلتَشهَدِ الساعاتُ وَالأَنفاسُ لي
أَنّيthat I بَرِئتُhave dissociated myself مِنfrom الغَوِيِّthe erring one الجاحِدِthe denier
أَنّي بَرِئتُ مِن الغَوِيِّ الجاحِدِ
So let the hours and the breaths bear witness for me
that I have dissociated myself from the erring denier.
