فَاِحذَر لِجيلِك فَوقَ الأَرضِ إِسخاطا
As for God, that is a matter I cannot fathom.
The deity is beyond my ken—
So beware of angering your generation upon the earth.
So spare your fellows here below;

And gray hair has streaked both temples crosswise,
For age has streaked my temples, whence
And in its advance it has gone no further than the freshness of days.
The locks flowed free so long ago.
