أَتَتكَ بِحَبٍ فَتاةٌ غَدَت

أَتَتكَ بِحَبٍ فَتاةٌ غَدَت

مُسائِلَةً عَن دَواءِ الحَبَل

مُسائِلَةً عَن دَواءِ الحَبَل

A maiden came to you with grain and began

asking about a remedy for pregnancy.

وَقَد حُسِبَت مِن بَناتِ السُهولِ

وَقَد حُسِبَت مِن بَناتِ السُهولِ

فَجاءَت بِإِحدى بَناتِ الجَبَل

فَجاءَت بِإِحدى بَناتِ الجَبَل

And she had been reckoned among the daughters of the plains,

then she came with one of the daughters of the mountain.
