طباع الورى حرية أَصلها الظلم

وثالثها فيما روي أَصلها الظلم

Human nature is freedom; its root is injustice.

And the third of them, as has been related, has injustice as its root.

وفيها الغنى والرزق والعلم حادث

وفيها الغنى والرزق والعلم حادث

ثلاثة أَشيا خيرها عندنا العلم

ثلاثة أَشيا خيرها عندنا العلم

And within it, wealth, sustenance, and knowledge arise—

Three things: the best of them, in our view, is knowledge.
