ماwhat lies بَينَbetween أَزهارٍflowers وَأَرضِand earth of عِهادِsuccessive rains
So I let the grazing herd of my gaze roam within it, awestruck,
I set my eyes roaming in it, exulting,
between flowers and earth watered by successive rains.
Amongst flowers and pastoral lands,
أَفديI would ransom بِأَبيَضِwith the white of ناظِرَيَّmy two eyes بَياضَهُits whiteness

I would ransom its whiteness with the whites of my two eyes,
I would ransom their whiteness with my eyes' whiteness
and the blackness of its letters with the light of my dark pupils.
And their blackness with my blackness' light.
