سَلامٌ عَلى تِلكَ الخَلائِقِ إِنَّها

سَلامٌ عَلى تِلكَ الخَلائِقِ إِنَّها

هِيَ النَيِّراتُ الطَيِّباتُ إِذا تُجنى

هِيَ النَيِّراتُ الطَيِّباتُ إِذا تُجنى

Peace upon those virtues, for they

Greetings to those creatures, for they

Are radiant and wholesome when gathered.

Are the shining lights when picked.

فَلا فَلَّ صَرفُ الدَهرِ حَدَّ شَباتِها

فَلا فَلَّ صَرفُ الدَهرِ حَدَّ شَباتِها

وَلا صَحِبَت إلّا السَلامَةَ وَاليُمنا

وَلا صَحِبَت إلّا السَلامَةَ وَاليُمنا

So may time’s vicissitudes never blunt their keen edges,

So time's vicissitudes cannot impede their youth,

And may they keep company only with safety and good fortune.

Nor have they accompanied aught but well-being and good fortune.
