اِشتَرى اللَهُ مِن أُناسٍ فَباعوا

اِشتَرى اللَهُ مِن أُناسٍ فَباعوا

وَدَعاهُم إِلى الهُدى فَأَطاعوا

وَدَعاهُم إِلى الهُدى فَأَطاعوا

God bought from some people, and so they sold.

And He called them to guidance, so they obeyed.

And He called them to guidance, so they obeyed

هُوَ قَوّاهُمُ عَلى ما رَآهُمُ

هُوَ قَوّاهُمُ عَلى ما رَآهُمُ

أَهلَهُ مِن جِهادِهِ فَاِستَطاعوا

أَهلَهُ مِن جِهادِهِ فَاِستَطاعوا

He strengthened them for what He deemed them

He strengthened them for what He saw them

Worthy of in striving for Him, and so they were able.

Qualified for of His jihad, so they succeeded

وَالجِهادُ الطَريقُ حَقّاً إِلَيهِ

وَالجِهادُ الطَريقُ حَقّاً إِلَيهِ

دَرَجاتٌ لَم يَسلُكوها فَضاعوا

دَرَجاتٌ لَم يَسلُكوها فَضاعوا

And striving is truly the path to Him—

And jihad is truly the path to Him

Steps they did not tread, and so they were lost.

Levels they did not take so they were lost

إِنَّما هَذِهِ الحَياةُ مَتاعٌ

إِنَّما هَذِهِ الحَياةُ مَتاعٌ

ثُمَّ تَفنى حَياتُنا وَالمَتاعُ

ثُمَّ تَفنى حَياتُنا وَالمَتاعُ

This life is nothing but enjoyment;

This life is only a pleasure

Then our life and the enjoyment pass away.

Then our lives will end and the pleasure too

فَصَّلوا أَمرَهُ بِخَيرِ جَوابٍ

فَصَّلوا أَمرَهُ بِخَيرِ جَوابٍ

فَاِنقِطاعُ الجَوابِ عَنهُ اِنقِطاعُ

فَاِنقِطاعُ الجَوابِ عَنهُ اِنقِطاعُ

They expounded His command with the best reply;

So determine His matter with the best response

For ceasing to answer Him is severance.

For cutting off a response to Him is cutting off
