وَعِندي نُجومٌ قَد ذَخَرتُ طُلوعَها

وَعِندي نُجومٌ قَد ذَخَرتُ طُلوعَها

لِآفاقِ سُلطانِ العَزيزِ بنِ يوسُفِ

لِآفاقِ سُلطانِ العَزيزِ بنِ يوسُفِ

And I have stars whose rising I have kept in reserve

I have stars whose rising I have stored

For the horizons of al-Aziz ibn Yusuf's dominion.

For the horizons of the mighty Sultan Yusuf’s realm

كَأَنّي أَرى مِن وَجهِ عُثمانَ سورَةً

كَأَنّي أَرى مِن وَجهِ عُثمانَ سورَةً

وَقَد طَلَعَت مِن دَستِهِ ضِمنَ مُصحَفِ

وَقَد طَلَعَت مِن دَستِهِ ضِمنَ مُصحَفِ

It is as though I see a surah from Uthman's face,

As though I see a surah on the face of Uthman

And it has risen from his seat within a Qur'an volume.

Having emerged from his hand within a volume
