وَلَم آتِ هَذا البَيتَ مِن غَيرِ بابِهِ

وَلَم آتِ هَذا البَيتَ مِن غَيرِ بابِهِ

وَبابُ أَميرِ القَومِ فَهوَ وَزيرُهُ

وَبابُ أَميرِ القَومِ فَهوَ وَزيرُهُ

And I did not come to this house except through its door.

I did not come to this house by any door but his door

And the door to the people's prince is his vizier.

And the door to the chief of the people is through his minister

وَإِن كانَ مَولانا الأَميرَ وَكُلُّنا

وَإِن كانَ مَولانا الأَميرَ وَكُلُّنا

عَبيدٌ لِنُعماهُ فَأَنتَ أَميرُهُ

عَبيدٌ لِنُعماهُ فَأَنتَ أَميرُهُ

And though our lord is the prince, and all of us

Though our chief is the prince and we are all

are slaves to his bounty, you are his prince.

His slaves for his favors, you are his minister
