عةُhour (last part) منfrom حُلمِdream الزَّمانِtime
عةُ من حُلمِ الزَّمانِ

O friends of mine, this is the hour
is part of time's dream.
Of the dream of time,
إنَّindeed هذاthis زَمَنُtime الحـlove (first part)
إنَّ هذا زَمَنُ الحـ
ـبِّlove (last part)، فضِجُّواso raise your voices بالأغانِيwith songs
ـبِّ، فضِجُّوا بالأغانِي
Indeed, this is the time of love,
This is the time of love, rejoice with songs
so raise your voices in song!
Raise your cups filled up
ارفعواraise الأقداحَthe goblets مَلْأَىfull
ارفعوا الأقداحَ مَلْأَى
واشربواand drink نَخْبَa toast to الحسانِthe beautiful women
واشربوا نَخْبَ الحسانِ
Raise your brimming goblets
And drink the best of goodness
and drink a toast to the beautiful women.
For the kind spring invites you
فالربيعُfor spring السَّمْحُgenerous يدعوcalls
فالربيعُ السَّمْحُ يدعو
كمyou (plural object) إلىto أقربِnearest حانِtavern!
كم إلى أقربِ حانِ!
For generous spring calls
To the nearest tavern!

The playful exuberant spring
الربيعُspring المرِحُmerry الجذjubilant (first part)
الربيعُ المرِحُ الجذ
لانُjubilant (last part) يختالُstruts فخوراproudly
لانُ يختالُ فخورا
Merry, jubilant spring

It is the beauty that fills
إنَّهُindeed, it is الحسنُbeauty الذيthat يمـfills (first part)
إنَّهُ الحسنُ الذي يمـ
ـلأُfills (last part) بالحبِّwith love الصدوراthe bosoms
ـلأُ بالحبِّ الصدورا
Indeed, it is beauty that fills
Hearts with love
bosoms with love.
How can we not pluck
كيفhow لاnot نقطفُwe pluck منهfrom it الـthe
كيف لا نقطفُ منه الـ
ـثَّمَرfruit الحلوَsweet النضيراfresh!
ـثَّمَر الحلوَ النضيرا!
How can we not pluck from it
Its sweet ripe fruit!

You, O sun, fill the horizons with light!

أطْلَعَbrought forth الروضُthe garden جَنَىfruit الكرthe vine (first part)
أطْلَعَ الروضُ جَنَى الكر
مةِvine (last part) والزَّهْرَand the blossoms النَّدِيَّاdewy
مةِ والزَّهْرَ النَّدِيَّا
The garden has brought forth the fruit of the vine
And press the ripe grapes!
and the dewy blossoms.
O friends of mine, the time of love calls us
اقطفواpluck الأزهارَthe flowers منهfrom it
اقطفوا الأزهارَ منه
واعصرواand press الكرْمَthe vines (their grapes) الجنِيَّاripe
واعصروا الكرْمَ الجنِيَّا
Pluck the flowers from it
Come on!!
and press the ripe grapes.
