نَحنُ بَنو الأَرضِ وَسُكّانُها

مِنها خُلِقنا وَإِلَيها نَعود

We are the sons of the earth and its inhabitants.

We are the sons of earth and its dwellers

We are the children of the earth and its inhabitants,

From it we were created, and to it we return.

From it we were created and to it we shall return

From it we were created, and to it we return.

وَالسَعدُ لا يَبقى لِأَصحابِهِ

وَالسَعدُ لا يَبقى لِأَصحابِهِ

وَالنَحسُ تَمحوهُ ليالي السُعود

وَالنَحسُ تَمحوهُ ليالي السُعود

And good fortune does not last for its possessors.

Good fortune does not remain for those who possess it

Good fortune does not remain forever with its owners,

And misfortune is erased by nights of good fortune.

And misfortune is erased by nights of prosperity

And misfortune is erased by nights of felicity.
