يا أَيُّهذا المُبتَغي عَلياً

إِني أَراكَ جاهِلاً شَقِيّا

O you who seek Ali,

O you who seek the exalted Ali

O you who comes seeking Ali,

Indeed, I see you are ignorant and wretched.

قَد كُنتَ عَن كِفاحِهِ غَنيّاً

قَد كُنتَ عَن كِفاحِهِ غَنيّاً

يَمنَعَهُ أَبيَضُ مَشرِفيا

يَمنَعَهُ أَبيَضُ مَشرِفيا

You had no need to fight him.

You were content without his struggle

You could have spared yourself his combat,

A gleaming Mashrafi sword protects him.

Forbidden by dignified elders

For a white Mashrafi blade defends him,

مُهَذَّباً سُميدَعاً كَمِيّا

مُهَذَّباً سُميدَعاً كَمِيّا

هَلُمَّ فَاِبرُز ها هُنا إِلَيّا

هَلُمَّ فَاِبرُز ها هُنا إِلَيّا

He is refined and noble, a valiant armored warrior.

Refined, gentle, and perfect

Refined, a noble chief, and a fierce warrior;

Come, then step forth right here to me!
