ماتَ الوَفاءُ فَلا رَفدٌ وَلا طَمَعُ

في الناسِ لَم يَبقَ إِلّا اليَأسُ وَالجَزَعُ

Loyalty has died, so there is neither aid nor hope.

Loyalty has died; there is no bounty nor hope for gain,

Among people, nothing remains but despair and anguish.

فَاِصبِر عَلى ثِقَةٍ بِاللَهِ وَاَرضَ بِهِ

فَاللَهُ أَكَرَمُ مَن يُرجى وَيُتَّبَعُ

فَاللَهُ أَكَرَمُ مَن يُرجى وَيُتَّبَعُ

So be patient, trusting in God, and be content with Him.

So endure with patience, trusting in God, and be content with Him,

For God is the most generous of those looked to in hope and followed.

For God is the most generous of all who are hoped for and followed.
