أَعوذُ بِالرَحمَنِ أَن أَميلا

أَعوذُ بِالرَحمَنِ أَن أَميلا

مِن عَزفِ جِنٍ أَظَهروا تَهويلا

مِن عَزفِ جِنٍ أَظَهروا تَهويلا

I seek refuge in the Most Merciful lest I waver

I seek refuge with the Most Merciful lest I incline

I seek refuge in the Most Merciful lest I should sway

At the music of jinn who made a fearsome display,

To the music of jinn that showed terror

To the music of Jinn who manifested terror,

وَأَوقَدَت نيرانَها تَغويلا

وَأَوقَدَت نيرانَها تَغويلا

وَقَرَعت مَع عَزفِها الطُبولا

وَقَرَعت مَع عَزفِها الطُبولا

And kindled their fires to frighten,

And ignited its fires to lead astray

And kindled their fires to beguile and destroy,

And beat the drums along with their music.

And beat drums along with its music

And struck the drums to accompany their playing.
