ألا قل لقوم حلّلوا شتم عرضنا

ألا قل لقوم حلّلوا شتم عرضنا

ومن حلّل الممنوع في الشّرع كافرُ

ومن حلّل الممنوع في الشّرع كافرُ

Take heed: tell those who declared it lawful to insult our honor:

Tell those who made permissible the defamation of our honor:

And whoever declares lawful what religious law forbids is an unbeliever.

Whoever makes permissible what is forbidden in sacred law is an infidel;

وماذا يقولُ الشاتمون لعرضنا

وماذا يقولُ الشاتمون لعرضنا

وأعراضُنا بين الأنام جواهرُ

وأعراضُنا بين الأنام جواهرُ

And what do those who insult our honor say,

And what can the defamers say about our honor?

while our reputations are jewels among humankind?

Our honor among people is like jewels.
