Sol 6.1

  1. يا سيّدا ساد الأنام بفضله

    فسما على زهر السّما وزياده

    O master who became lord of mankind through his excellence,

    And soared above heaven’s bright stars, and higher still.

  2. ألقت إليك المشكلاتُ سلاحها

    من طوعها قهرا وغير إراده

    Difficulties laid down their arms before you,

    Of their own accord, under compulsion and against their will.

  3. ما جاء بابك للافادة سائل

    إلا سمحت لهُ بخير إعاده

    No questioner came to your door seeking knowledge

    But you generously gave him the finest reply.

  4. نظم الأفاضلُ دُرّهم في عقدنا

    وقد رجوتُ بكم تمام قلاده

    The eminent have strung their pearls in our necklace,

    And through you I have hoped to complete the necklace.

  5. فلذا جعلتك للختام لأنّهُ

    ذُو الفوز من يُختم له بسعاده

    Thus I have placed you at the close, for

    The victor is he whose ending is happy.
