1. لموسى لحظه في النّاس جُرحٌ

    ونارُ الخدّ أحرقت النّفوسا

    Musa's glance wounds people,

    And the fire of his cheek has burned souls.

  2. ويسحرُ دائما باللّحظ فاعجب

    للحظ منهُ يسحرُ وهو مُوسى

    And he always bewitches with his glance, so marvel

    At a glance from him that bewitches, though he is Musa.
