قومٌ بهمّتهم تُدكُّ جبالُ
O statues of the churches, if you have been toyed with
I bloodied the churches if you were toyed with

عبدُوا الصّليب وللظّلالة مالوا
For many a time deacons prostrated themselves before you,
For long have deacons prostrated but they
Worshipping the cross and inclining toward error.
Worshipped the cross and leaned towards priesthood

So the Lord of the Heavens destroyed them with lads
Proud-nosed, grim-faced heroes.
Stern-faced mighty heroes
