وبديع الحسن فردٌ

وبديع الحسن فردٌ

مالهُ فيه شريكٌ

مالهُ فيه شريكٌ

And the marvel of beauty stands peerless,

And one of wondrous beauty is peerless;

with none to rival him in it.

he has no equal in it.

كيف بالشّاوش يُدعى

كيف بالشّاوش يُدعى

وهو في الحسن مليكُ

وهو في الحسن مليكُ

How could he be summoned merely as a witness,

How can he be called “Shawush,”

when he is sovereign in beauty?

when in beauty he is a king?
