لَو كانَ عُجبُكَ مِثلَ لُبِّكَ لَم يَكُن
لَكَfor you وَزنُweight خَردَلَةٍa mustard seed مِنَof الإِعجابِself-admiration
لَكَ وَزنُ خَردَلَةٍ مِنَ الإِعجابِ
If your conceit matched your intellect, you would not have
If your admiration were like your mind, there would be
A mustard seed’s weight of self-admiration.
No mustard seed's weight of admiration in you.
أَوor كانَwere لُبُّكَyour intellect مِثلَequal to عُجبِكَyour conceit لَمnot يَكُنbe
أَو كانَ لُبُّكَ مِثلَ عُجبِكَ لَم يَكُن
أَحَدٌanyone يَفوقُكَsurpasses you مِنamong ذَويthose possessing الأَلبابِintellect

Or if your intellect matched your conceit, there would not be
Or if your mind were like your admiration, then none
Anyone among people of intellect who could surpass you.
Of the enlightened would surpass you.
