خَفي اللَهَ فيمَن قَد تَبَلتِ فُؤادَهُ

خَفي اللَهَ فيمَن قَد تَبَلتِ فُؤادَهُ

وَتَيَّمتِهِ حَتّى كَأَنَّ بِهِ سِحرا

وَتَيَّمتِهِ حَتّى كَأَنَّ بِهِ سِحرا

Fear God in how you treat the one whose heart you have ravaged,

God has hidden in the one whose heart has withered

And whom you have enslaved with love, till he seems under a spell.

And whose body has wasted away as if bewitched

دَعي البُخلَ لا أَسمَع بِهِ مِنكِ إِنَّما

دَعي البُخلَ لا أَسمَع بِهِ مِنكِ إِنَّما

سَأَلتُكِ أَمراً لَيسَ يُعري لَكُم ظَهرا

سَأَلتُكِ أَمراً لَيسَ يُعري لَكُم ظَهرا

Give up your stinginess; let me hear none of it from you. I have only

Leave miserliness, I do not want to hear it from you

Asked you for something that will not leave your backs bare.

I only asked you for something that does not strip you bare
