    تراها من بعيد  كالرواسي

    Beautiful, towering mosques,

    You see them from afar like steadfast mountains,

    كأن قبابها خوذات صلب

    As though their domes were helmets of steel

  5. ومن ينظر مآذنها يجدها

    أثارت في حناياي الشجونا

    And whoever looks at their minarets finds them

    Have stirred sorrows in the recesses of my heart!

  7. إذا نظروا وتُرضي المؤمنينا

    خوالد من بناء الخالدينا

    When they look, and delight the believers.

    Immortal works built by the immortals.

  8. فإنْ دوّين أقررن العيونا

    من الإسلام  يهدي الحائرينا

    Then, if they resound, they delight the eyes.

    From Islam, guiding the bewildered.

  9. لمعن على رؤوس مجاهدينا

    رماحاً في صدور الكافرينا

    That gleamed upon the heads of our fighters for the faith.

    Spears in the breasts of the unbelievers.
