فَلا تُصفِيَنَّ الوُدَّ مَن لَيسَ أَهلَهُ

فَلا تُصفِيَنَّ الوُدَّ مَن لَيسَ أَهلَهُ

وَلا تُبعِدَنَّ الوُدَّ مِمَّن تَوَدَّدا

وَلا تُبعِدَنَّ الوُدَّ مِمَّن تَوَدَّدا

So do not bestow sincere affection on one unworthy of it.

So do not purify affection for one unworthy,

And do not withhold affection from one who has shown affection.

Nor distance affection from one who is devoted.
