بلفظةٍ منه يُشْفى داءُ مُعْضلةٍ

أعيا على فُصحاءِ الناس شافيها

أعيا على فُصحاءِ الناس شافيها

With a word from him, the ailment of a thorny problem is cured,

Whose remedy has baffled the eloquent among men.

عمَمْت بالخير أرض اللهِ قاطبةً

عمَمْت بالخير أرض اللهِ قاطبةً

فظلَّ حاضرها يُثْني وباديها

فظلَّ حاضرها يُثْني وباديها

You have covered all God's earth with goodness,

So its townsfolk and desert folk continued to praise you.

وكمْ مثالبِ أيامٍ مُقدَّمةٍ

وكمْ مثالبِ أيامٍ مُقدَّمةٍ

غدوت بالطَّوْلِ والاِحسان تُنسيها

غدوت بالطَّوْلِ والاِحسان تُنسيها

And how many blemishes of bygone days

You have come to make forgotten through bounty and kindness!

تلقى عَليّاً على ما فيه من شَرفٍ

تلقى عَليّاً على ما فيه من شَرفٍ

مُسترسلَ المجد لا كِبْراً ولا تيها

مُسترسلَ المجد لا كِبْراً ولا تيها

You find Ali, despite all the nobility he possesses,

Unassuming in his glory, without arrogance or conceit.

سهلُ القيادِ لراجيهِ وآملهِ

سهلُ القيادِ لراجيهِ وآملهِ

وفي الأعادي عزيزُ النفس آبيها

وفي الأعادي عزيزُ النفس آبيها

Easy to lead for those who hope in him and look to him,

Yet among enemies, proud of soul and unyielding.

وراء حجب العلى طودٌ أَخو شرفٍ

وراء حجب العلى طودٌ أَخو شرفٍ

أرجو نَداهُ فاذكاراً وتنْبيها

أرجو نَداهُ فاذكاراً وتنْبيها

Behind the veils of eminence stands a mountain endowed with nobility;

I hope for his bounty—hence this reminder and prompting.
