تُرابُ الشِّعْبِ كافورُ

تُرابُ الشِّعْبِ كافورُ

وسُكَّانُ اللِّوى حُورُ

وسُكَّانُ اللِّوى حُورُ

The ravine’s dust is camphor,

The people's soil is camphor

and al-Liwā’s dwellers are houris.

And the dwellers of the valley are nymphs

لقد أفْلَحَ مَنْ خُطَّ

لقد أفْلَحَ مَنْ خُطَّ

له بالوصلِ مَنْشورُ

له بالوصلِ مَنْشورُ

Truly fortunate is he for whom was written

Indeed, he who drafted

a decree granting union.

For him the edict of reunion has succeeded
