The ages and epochs have taken pride in you,

O you whose entire lifetime is Rajab.

Your piety is not confined to the advent

Of a season that passes and is awaited.

Rather, every day of yours possesses honor,

Taking pride, as ranks take pride in you.

You filled it with goodness, so its poor are

Rich, and its sorrowful are joyful.

And your conscience is clear of the mote of bias

Through which doubts and suspicions grow.

Thus, through sincerity you attained what

Keen swords and long, slender spears could not.

This, while your valor has been acknowledged by

    War, judgments, and books.

You inspire fear and hope through valor and bounty,

Always, for you are the sword and the clouds.

So your sword-edges are neither notched nor broken,

And your bounty brings neither delay nor hardship.

How can men vie with you in eminence,

When yours are illustrious honors and noble lineage?

As for the vizierate, she is adorned

With your eminence, her frame filled with joy.

She was betrothed to a worthy match, a man of honor,

Through whom hardship and anguish were dispelled.

Thus from your shared glory were born

    Noble virtues throughout the worlds.

And you indeed championed the faith amid battle-dust,

In which souls were nearly snatched away.

    فشَدَدْتَ منهُ وصُدِّقَ اللَّقَب

    And you bolstered it while the sword knew fear;

Thus you made it strong, and the title proved true.

And you clothed yourself in spotless virtues,

Through which the far-off draw near and come close.

So it is as though all these people

Were children, and you their tender father.

So may you live on for me and all who hope,

As long as spears and blades hold sway.
