May you be wished joy at the feast and others like it,

as long as the keen, cleaving sword's edge holds sway.

May your command never lack obedience,

nor your praiseworthy endeavor a grateful soul.

For your might vanquishes the sharp edges of swords,

and your bounty puts the rain-cloud to shame.

With you, the neighbor dwells in a lofty refuge,

whose distant summits defy the beholder's gaze.

And the guest alights—when openly assailed

by his dire hardship is even the man with milk and dates—

with one of firmly bound resolve and unyielding strength,

stout-hearted and patient in the arduous pursuit of the heights.

Drought cannot thwart even his dependent's bounty,

when hunger deals harshly with the able.

Kamal al-Din, perfection of God's faith, guardian of the sanctuary,

when glory calls upon a champion for help.

For he is rain to the drought-stricken; through him revives

what lay lifeless in him; and he is 'Rise again!' to the fallen.
