His countenance cheerful, his qualities noble—
With prosperity, honor, and noble traits

كصوبِlike the downpour of غَمامٍa cloud ماnot تَغِبُّlapse نوافِلُهْhis gifts
For how often he has bestowed blessing after blessing,
So much comfort he gives after comfort
Like a cloud's downpour, his gifts never cease.
Like the clouds whose gifts never cease

وأفعالهُand his deeds فيin كلِّevery خطبٍcrisis معاقلُهْhis strongholds
A young man whose fear of the All-Merciful is his most ample armor,
A young man cloaked in reverence for the Merciful
And whose deeds are his strongholds in every crisis.
His deeds in every matter are his fortresses

The backs of his mature steeds are for raiding his enemies,
The bases of his glory are his conquests over enemies
And his homes are for the guest and the outcast neighbor.
And for the guest, neighbor, and spurned - his homes

وينجحُand succeeds فيماin what يبتغيhe seeks منهfrom him سائلهْhis petitioner
Whoever seeks a blemish upon his honor fails,
He who seeks to disparage his honor is thwarted
And whoever petitions him gains what he seeks.
And he who asks of him succeeds in his request
