إِذاwhen استنَّraces فيin الجدوىgenerosity وجدَّand hastens إلىtoward الحمىthe protected domain
إِذا استنَّ في الجدوى وجدَّ إلى الحمى
تمنَّىlong for مقاميْهِhis two stations الحيَاrain والمناصلand sword-blades
تمنَّى مقاميْهِ الحيَا والمناصل
When he races in generosity and hastens toward the protected domain,
If one is steadfast in purpose, one will find zeal for protection
rain and sword-blades long for his two stations.
And yearn for abodes of life and cutting blades
