May God never deprive my gaze of the honor it gains
May Allah not deprive my eyes of seeing him,
from a radiant-faced man, in whose presence blessings grow sweet—
With his bright face, blessings are sweet with him,

The knight of valor and boundless generosity, when
the armored warrior is humbled and rainfall and drizzle grow scarce;
The inferior bows and the land and spear triumph,

The scion of the Caliphate and the breast that my nation witnessed
by heavy-laden morning rainclouds and steady rains;
Through his merit, the plains and the hills and the valleys,

And who else but Muḍar made it clear,

The red sands that the nations submitted to him,

So may praise never pass Sharaf al-Din by, for
So none but the honor of religion and praise remains,
his endeavors, his lineage, and his character are noble.
His efforts have brought nobility and decorum.
