هنيئاً لعلْياءِ المراتبِ أنها

تُحلَّى بمجد الدين فخر المراتب

تُحلَّى بمجد الدين فخر المراتب

Joy to the loftiest rank, for it

Congratulations to the eminent Alia

is adorned by Majd al-Din, the pride of all ranks.

Adorned with the glory of religion, pride of all eminence

هُمامٌ غنيُّ من طبيعيِّ مجده

هُمامٌ غنيُّ من طبيعيِّ مجده

ومفخرهِ عن مُحْرزٍ بالمكاسبِ

ومفخرهِ عن مُحْرزٍ بالمكاسبِ

A magnanimous man, self-sufficient through his inborn glory

Aspirations of a wealthy nature are his glory

and honor, needing none acquired through effort.

And his pride is in his guaranteed acquisitions

إذا ستن في الجدوى وشدَّ على العدى

إذا ستن في الجدوى وشدَّ على العدى

أَبَرَّ على حدِّ الظُّبى والسّحائب

أَبَرَّ على حدِّ الظُّبى والسّحائب

When he races in generosity and charges against his foes,

Whenever he is firm in his resolve and hostile to his enemies

he surpasses the edge of swords and the clouds.

He soars above the peak of difficulties and clouds

سليمُ الطَّوايا لا يُجنُّ ضغينةً

سليمُ الطَّوايا لا يُجنُّ ضغينةً

ولا يفرش الأعداء لِينَ المُواربِ

ولا يفرش الأعداء لِينَ المُواربِ

Pure in his inmost thoughts, he harbors no rancor,

With integrity of purpose, he harbors no malice

nor offers his enemies a dissembler's softness.

Nor lays down a carpet of ease for his adversaries

تطيشُ الرزايا حولهُ وهو راسخٌ

تطيشُ الرزايا حولهُ وهو راسخٌ

يزيد وقاراً من طروقِ النَّوائبِ

يزيد وقاراً من طروقِ النَّوائبِ

Calamities whirl around him, while he stands firm;

Calamities flutter around him while he remains steadfast

he grows in dignity as misfortunes visit by night.

Increasing in dignity amidst the blows of fate

فلا زالَ ذا أمْرٍ مُطاعٍ ونِحلةٍ

فلا زالَ ذا أمْرٍ مُطاعٍ ونِحلةٍ

شعاعٍ وعيشٍ مُطمئنِّ الجوانبِ

شعاعٍ وعيشٍ مُطمئنِّ الجوانبِ

So may he always have his commands obeyed, and bounty

He remains commanding, gifted, radiant

spread far and wide, and a life secure on every side.

At peace, with well-fortified aspects
