بِحُبِّ المصطفى المختارِ

بِحُبِّ المصطفى المختارِ

قلْبي مغرمٌ مُغْري

قلْبي مغرمٌ مُغْري

With love for the Chosen One, the Elect,

With love of Mustafa the Chosen One

my heart is enamored, enthralled,

My heart is infatuated and allured

وحُبّ عليّ الفَاروق

وحُبّ عليّ الفَاروق

والسّبطين والزَّهراء

والسّبطين والزَّهراء

and with love for Ali al-Faruq,

And love of Ali the Supreme

and the two grandsons and al-Zahra,

And the two grandsons and Zahra

وحُبّ أبي الحسين إمامِ

وحُبّ أبي الحسين إمامِ

آلِ المصْطفى طُرّا

آلِ المصْطفى طُرّا

and with love for Abu al-Husayn, imam

And love of Abu al-Hussein the Imam

of all the Chosen One’s family.

Of the family of Mustafa, flying high

هُمُ ذخري إذا مسَّتْني

هُمُ ذخري إذا مسَّتْني

البأساءُ والضَرّا

البأساءُ والضَرّا

They are my treasure when I am touched

They are my treasure when hardship

by hardship and adversity.

And harm befall me

وهُمْ عَوْنيَ في الأولي

وهُمْ عَوْنيَ في الأولي

وهُمْ غَوثَيَ في الأخْرى

وهُمْ غَوثَيَ في الأخْرى

And they are my aid in this life,

And they are my aid in the first life

and they are my succor in the next.

And my salvation in the last

بحبَّهمُ يحطّ اللهُ

بحبَّهمُ يحطّ اللهُ

عَنّي الذَّنبَ والوِزْرا

عَنّي الذَّنبَ والوِزْرا

Through love for them, God removes

With love of them Allah will lift

from me sin and the burden of guilt,

From me sin and heavy burden

ويُسْكنني جَناناً لا

ويُسْكنني جَناناً لا

أجوعُ بها ولاَ أعْرىَ

أجوعُ بها ولاَ أعْرىَ

and makes me dwell in gardens where I shall not

And will settle me in gardens where

go hungry, nor go naked.

I will neither hunger nor thirst
