بِحُبّ الرَّسول وحُبِّ البتولِ

بِحُبّ الرَّسول وحُبِّ البتولِ

وسِبْطَيهما وعَليّ الرِضَى

وسِبْطَيهما وعَليّ الرِضَى

Through love of the Messenger and love of the Chaste One,

With love of the Prophet and love of the Virgin

and of their two grandsons and Ali al-Rida,

And their two grandsons and Ali, the content

وزَيدٍ إمامِ بني المصطفى

وزَيدٍ إمامِ بني المصطفى

وسيفهِمُ القاطعِ المنتضَى

وسيفهِمُ القاطعِ المنتضَى

and Zayd, imam of the Chosen One’s descendants,

And Zayd, the Imam of the Prophet's progeny

and their sharp, unsheathed sword,

And their sword, the fulfiller of desires

وعُترةِ خيرِ الورى من قضَى

وعُترةِ خيرِ الورى من قضَى

سعيداً على مَنهج المرْتَضَى

سعيداً على مَنهج المرْتَضَى

and the progeny of the best of humankind—those who passed away

And the Prophet's family, the best of creation

blessed upon the path of al-Murtada,

Happy with the path of the Chosen

وعُترةِ خيرِ الورى من قضَى

وعُترةِ خيرِ الورى من قضَى

سعيداً على مَنهج المرْتَضَى

سعيداً على مَنهج المرْتَضَى

and the progeny of the best of humankind—those who passed away

And the Prophet's family, the best of creation

blessed upon the path of al-Murtada,

Happy with the path of the Chosen

يكونُ لِبَاسيَ يوم القَضا

يكونُ لِبَاسيَ يوم القَضا

بدار النّعيم ثيابُ الرّضا

بدار النّعيم ثيابُ الرّضا

my clothing on the Day of Judgment shall be

My attire on Judgement Day

robes of favor in the abode of bliss.

Will be robes of pleasure in the Abode of Bliss

إلاهي بهمْ جُدْ بعَفْوٍ عَلَى

إلاهي بهمْ جُدْ بعَفْوٍ عَلَى

أَسِيرٍ بهِ ضَاقَ رحبُ الفَضَا

أَسِيرٍ بهِ ضَاقَ رحبُ الفَضَا

My God, for their sake, generously grant pardon to

My God, through them, treat me with pardon

a captive for whom the breadth of space has grown narrow.

A prisoner whose vast space has narrowed

أقِلْ عَثرتي واغتفِرْ زَلّتي

أقِلْ عَثرتي واغتفِرْ زَلّتي

وقُلْ لي عَفَا الله عَمّا مَضى

وقُلْ لي عَفَا الله عَمّا مَضى

Pardon my stumble and forgive my lapse,

Lessen my stumbling and forgive my lapse

and say to me, ‘God has pardoned what has passed.’

And say to me "God has forgiven what has passed"
