Take me by the hand at the Gathering, O family of Ahmad.
Take my hand on the Day of Resurrection, O Ahl al-Bayt
For I am your servant as long as I live.
For I am for you, for as long as I live, a servant
وعنِدِيand I have لِسَانٌa tongue مُرهَفٌkeen-edged إنif سَلَلْتُهُI draw it

And I have a keen-edged tongue; if I draw it,
And I have an eloquent tongue, if I let it loose
the sharp-cutting swords would come to shun it.
It starts singing praises of the unsheathed, cutting swords
تَقَلَّدتُI girded myself with مِنْهfrom it مُرهَفَfinely sharpened الحدِّthe edge صَارِماًa sharp sword

From it I have girded on a keen-edged sword,
I carry it like the unsheathed, cutting sword
With it I defend your glory and confront foes.
With it I defend your glory and fight
