وغيرُand other than مدحِكpraise of you فهوthen it is القَالُidle talk والقيلُand hearsay
Praise of you is speech that heals those who hear it.
Your praise heals those who hear it,
And anything other than praise of you is idle talk and hearsay.
While other praise is just idle talk.
يزدادُgrows مِنfrom مدحكَpraise of you التّاليthe reciter لَهof it شَرفاًin honor
كأنّماas though هوit تَسبيحُglorification of God وتهليلُand proclamation of God's oneness
The reciter of your praise grows in honor through it,
From your praise, its reciter gains more nobility,
As though it were glorification of God and proclamation of His oneness.
As if it were glorification and exaltation.

At every moment there comes to you from the Most Merciful
The Merciful sends you in every moment,
—glory be to Him—divine inspiration and revelation sent down.
Glory to Him, revelation and recitation.
وكلّماand whenever طالَit grows long لمdoes not يمللْهُtire of it قارئُهُits reader

And however long it grows, its reader does not tire of it,
However long, its reader does not tire of it,
While long-winded speech is sometimes found tiresome.
While other long speech may bore.

All the prophets have fallen short of you, just as
All the prophets fall short of you, just as
The Torah and the Gospel have fallen short of it.
The Torah and Gospel fall short of it.
