أتيتكَ عن بُعدٍ وفقْرٍ وحاجةٍ

أتيتكَ عن بُعدٍ وفقْرٍ وحاجةٍ

ولي فيك ظنٌّ أنتَ لا شك فوقَهُ

ولي فيك ظنٌّ أنتَ لا شك فوقَهُ

I have come to you from afar, in poverty and need.

I come to you from afar, in poverty and need

And I have an expectation of you that you doubtless surpass.

And in you I have a certainty, beyond any doubt

وإن امرءاً وافاكَ من بُعدِ أرضهِ

وإن امرءاً وافاكَ من بُعدِ أرضهِ

حقيقٌ بأن يَقضي نداك حقوقَهُ

حقيقٌ بأن يَقضي نداك حقوقَهُ

And indeed, a man who has come to you from his faraway land

That if a man comes to you from a distant land

Deserves to have your generosity give him his due.

It's right that your generosity fulfills his rights
