and tears you spill.

And tears pouring down

كيفَ تسلوكَ مُهجةٌ

لَيْسَ يطْغَى حريقُها

How can a soul forget you,

How can a burning love comfort you

whose fire does not exceed bounds?

If its flames don't subside

كيفَ تَنساك أضلعٌ

لَيْسَ بَهْدَاً خفوقُها

How can ribs forget you,
