لو أَبصَروا حُسْنَهُ لَهَاموا
And show the envious a face—
And show the envious a face—
had they beheld its beauty, they would have fallen madly in love.
Were they to see its beauty, they would be mad with love.

And do not heed the slanderers; be gentle
with a lovesick lover whose tears pour without cease.
