Sol 6.1

  1. وكيف ونارُ أَشواقي دَليلٌ

    على ما صِرتُ أكتُمه وأخفي

    And how could I, when the fire of my longings bears witness

    to what I have come to conceal and hide?

  2. وحَسبْي أنّ شوقي منذُ بِنتمْ

    يقصّر عَنْ مداهُ كلّ وَصْفِ

    And it is enough for me that, since you departed, my longing

    lies beyond the reach of all description.
