أَياO اِبنَson of البَغيضَةِthe loathsome woman وَاِبنَand son of البَغيضِthe loathsome man
وَمَنand one who هُوَhe فيin البُغضِloathsomeness لاnot يُلحَقُis matched
O son of the loathsome woman and son of the loathsome man,
O son of the hated one and son of the hated
And you who are unmatched in loathsomeness,
And whoever holds such hate cannot catch up
سَأَلتُكَI ask you بِاللَهِby God إِلّاthat (in this plea) صَدَقتَyou tell the truth
وَعِلميand my knowledge بِأَنَّكَof the fact that you لاnot تَصدُقُtell the truth
I ask you, by God, to tell the truth,
I ask you by God, will you speak the truth?
Though I know that you do not tell the truth:
And I know that you will not speak the truth
أَتُبغِضُdo you hate نَفسَكَyourself مِنbecause of بُغضِهاits loathsomeness
وَإِلّاand if not فَأَنتَthen you are إِذاًin that case أَحمَقُa fool
Do you hate yourself for your own loathsomeness?
Do you hate yourself because of her hatred?
And if not, then you are a fool.
Otherwise you are indeed a fool
