وَليand I have طَيلَسانٌa taylasan cloak إِنif تَأَمَّلتَyou examined شَخصَهُits form

And I have a taylasan cloak: if you examined its form,
You would be certain that time itself perishes and comes to an end.
تَصَدَّعَit has split حَتّىuntil قَدindeed أَمِنتُI felt safe from اِنصِداعَهُits splitting
وَأَظهَرَتِand have shown الأَيّامُthe days مِنof عُمرِهِits lifespan الغَرَضweariness
It has split so much that I fear no further splitting,
And the days have shown their weariness of its long life.
كَأَنّيas though I لِإِشفاقيbecause of my concern عَلَيهِfor it مُمَرِّضُa nurse

As though, in my concern for it, I were a nurse
To an ailing man whose illness has dragged on.

So if the scholastic theologians saw it,
They would dispute with you about it and claim it was an accident.
