وَرَوضَةٍ صَنَعَت أَيدي الرَبيعِ لَها

As though parting made her weep, while what made her laugh was

فَوَلَّدَت صُفُراً أَثوابُها خُضُرٌ

And so she bore yellow blossoms, their garments green,

So she brought forth yellow ones whose robes are green,

their hearts a home for the heart of dew.

مِن كُلِّ عَسجَدَةٍ في خِدرِها اِكتَتَمَت

From every golden jewel, within its curtained chamber, there hid
