Who will turn toward the heart of this cruel one?
Who will incline towards the heart of this harsh one
How often I remember him, while he forgets my pledge!
How much I remember him while he forgets our time
أَشْكُوI complain of لِعذَارِهِto his cheek-down سُقامِيmy sickness وكذاand likewise

I complain of my sickness to his cheek-down, just as
I complain to his excuses of my sickness and so
a wasting sufferer complains of his sickness to the healer.
A sick one complains of his sickness to a deaf one
