الصَّبُّ بِحُبِّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَلَهُ

الصَّبُّ بِحُبِّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَلَهُ

وَالعَاذلُ فِي هَوَاكَ مَا لِي وَلَهُ

وَالعَاذلُ فِي هَوَاكَ مَا لِي وَلَهُ

The lovesick lover is overcome with bewilderment through his love.

The lover pours his love on him, for him

And the reproacher over my love for you—what have I to do with him?

While the fault-finder in your love, what is it to me or to him

إِيضاحُ غَرَامِهِ لَهُ تَكْمِلهُ

إِيضاحُ غَرَامِهِ لَهُ تَكْمِلهُ

إن كانَ مُفصَّل الهَوى مُجْمَلهُ

إن كانَ مُفصَّل الهَوى مُجْمَلهُ

Explaining his passion to him brings it to completion,

Expressing his passion for him completes it
