به أَذابَ الغَرامُ قَلْبَهْ

O you who turned away from a lover,

O you who has estranged a lover

whose heart passion for you has melted.

Whose heart is melted by passion's fire

مَا لكَ في الهَجْرِ مِنْ دَليلٍ

مَا لكَ في الهَجْرِ مِنْ دَليلٍ

لَكِنْ هَذي عُلوّ قُبّه

لَكِنْ هَذي عُلوّ قُبّه

You have no justification for estrangement,

You have no reason to be cold

but this is the loftiness of a dome.

Only the haughtiness of your pride
